The Justice Department on Wednesday filed a lawsuit against a Texas nonprofit for allegedly subjecting unaccompanied migrant children to sexual abuse and harassment.

Multiple employees at the largest shelter provider for unaccompanied migrant children in the United States sexually abused and harassed minors in their care, the U.S. Department of Justice alleged in a lawsuit filed this week.

Justice Department lawsuit accuses employees of Southwest Key, a Texas-based organization, of sexually abusing and harassing unaccompanied migrant children in its shelters.

The Justice Department said that the Southwest Key shelter operator exploited the children’s vulnerabilities for nearly a decade.
