French government set to resign but stay on for now in caretaker role, sources say
PARIS (Reuters) - French President Emmanuel Macron is expected to accept the resignation of Prime Minister Gabriel Attal and his government by the end of Tuesday following an inconclusive snap election, two government sources said, but they will stay on in a caretaker capacity until a new cabinet is appointed.
